Business Change Manager
We are seeking an experienced project management professional to lead projects and process improvements for one of Anthem’s California Commercial Business Operations teams. This position is responsible for working with management to implement varied projects, programs and plans that support achievement of business unit and enterprise goals.
This position is full-time on-site in Anthem’s Walnut Creek, California office.
Primary duties include, but are not limited to:
Identify potential issues, project charge, and scope.
Lead efforts to identify best practices. Identify impacted parties, business partners, and resources required.
Develop and design processes and systems that support business needs.
Design methods for integrating function and process.
Conduct cost/benefit analyses.
Build support for business change throughout the business unit and interdependent departments.
Oversee unit project management and materials development, tracking, and communications.
Lead review of business processes, working cross-functionally to develop and implement optimization strategies.
Facilitate/lead meetings, including all documentation.
Develop methods to summarize detailed operational and/or workflow issues into distinct categories.
Track project progress.
Proactively address emerging issues that could impact timelines and deliverables.
Manage specific business change projects as assigned, identifying resolutions and escalating as appropriate.
Requires a BA/BS degree in a related field; 5-8 years of process or project related experience that includes experience in successfully developing and managing projects with fairly significant operating budget and knowledge of process redesign; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
Evidence of taking ownership of assigned projects from planning to execution through past work experience.
Outstanding organizational skills with ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize successfully.
Work experience that demonstrates successful, effective outreach across a virtual work environment and ability to influence without direct control.
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
Experience creating and delivering presentations with MS PowerPoint to both in-person and virtual audiences.
Intermediate proficiency with MS Excel, including pivot tables.
California healthcare industry knowledge is a plus.
Formal PM training and/or certification (PMP, Six Sigma) is a plus.
