The Director Sales is responsible for directing sales and retention for large accounts or sales business units. As the Emerging Market lead, this role maximizes the performance of Anthem’s Medicare business in key markets. Capabilities required include:
Proven background in developing and executing on sales strategies across a broad portfolio of Medicare products.
Proven sales strategies for growth and retention.
Managing and driving business performance of broker agents and agencies in assigned markets.
Having strong relationships with key agents and agencies in market.
Must be able to work collaboratively with matrix partners to increase growth opportunities and build a best in class experience with our partners.
Qualifications
Requires BA/BS; 5 years of professional/leadership experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background. Excellent managerial and leadership skills required.
Sales/territory management experience
Medicare Sales experience
Proven relationships within market
Be focused, versatile, dependable, multi-task oriented, flexible, and positive
Adapt effectively to challenging situations
Well-developed skills in prioritizing, organization, decision making, time management, and verbal/written communication skills
Strong interpersonal skills resulting in exceptional rapport with stakeholders
