Location: The qualified candidate must reside in Tacoma, WA or within 1-hour commute to co-located site.
Work Hours: M – F 8:30AM – 5:00PM PST.
The Client Svcs Assoc Sr (Community Engagement Coordinator) is responsible for being a liaison between the organization and key community stakeholder groups in the region, leading development and writing of federal block grant programs, managing community behavioral health committees that emphasize consumer and community participation, and for engaging with providers to resolve provider issues. Additional duties are related to establishing and maintaining positive relationships with community organizations and provider offices, along with performing other activities that enhance responsiveness to stakeholders and presence in the community.
Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:
Organize, lead and facilitate monthly local community forums such as the Behavioral Health Advisory Board, Children’s Long Term Inpatient Program (CLIP) Committee and Family Youth and System Round Table (FYSPRT). Ensure member composition meets requirements and recruit/retain membership as needed.
Develop local block grant plan and associated deliverables in collaboration with the Behavioral Health Advisory Board, community and contracted providers.
Provides information and recommends solutions.
Thoroughly documents inquiry outcomes for accurate tracking and analysis.
Develops and maintains positively customer relations and coordinates with various functions within the company to ensure customer requests and questions are handled appropriately and in a timely manner.
Requires a HS diploma and some college; 3 years progressively complex experience working in customer service; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
High school diploma and some college or equivalent.
Minimum of three years progressively complex experience working in customer service, or any combination of education and/or experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
Understanding of the application of benefits contracts, pricing, policies and legislative regulations.
Excellent understanding of the application of benefit contracts, pricing, processing, policies, and procedures.
Excellent knowledge of government regulations, coordination of benefits, and healthcare terminology.
Excellent knowledge of claims and products.
Excellent knowledge of the various operations of the organization, products, and services.
Strong attention to detail to accurately enter data and research and resolve questions.
Strong verbal communication skills including active listening; uses basic written communication skills to record client activity in database.
Previous experience using PC, database system, and related software (word processing, spreadsheets, etc.). Good typing and keyboard skills.
