Responsible for pharmacy prior authorization vendor oversight and management. Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:

  • Manages portfolio and project activities of pharmacy business unit, prioritization funding, scheduling, execution, and delivery of project work performed by pharmacy benefits manager (PBM) and other vendors.

  • Directs Pharmacy Operations Excellence resources and oversees accuracy and timeliness of project deliverables to ensure objectives are met.

  • Coordinates budget activities as necessary for prior authorization vendors.

  • Hires, trains, coaches, counsels, and evaluates performance of direct reports.

  • Requires a BA/BS in related field; 8 years of management experience in a complex business and systems environment including 5+ years of project management experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.

  • PMP preferred.
