Preferred Location: This role will be a combination of office and field work in Kentucky. It is preferred that candidates reside within commuting distance of Louisville and work from the Louisville office when not in the field.

The Program Manager for Kentucky Medicaid Operations is responsible for the development, ongoing management, and Compliance of one or more vendor programs within the business unit and supports business strategies through an integrated portfolio of external client-facing projects (primarily clinical and claims-related) and initiatives. Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:

  • Manages and coordinates the development, approval, implementation and compliance of on-going vendor programs that may include Provider Set-Up, Claims Operations, Encounters, etc.

  • Develops program budget.

  • Ensures program meets its stated objectives.

  • Provides subject matter expertise in response to day to day vendor business issues.

  • Researches applicable subject matter practices and remains aware of industry trends.

  • Manages external client facing relationships and partners with corporate and regional business areas.

  • Coordinates training related to vendor programs.

  • Develops program success measures and performs periodic assessments of program success.


  • BA/BS degree; 5-7 years of external client facing experience in program/project management; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.

  • Working knowledge of Medicaid preferred.

  • Managed care or Healthcare industry background preferred

  • Graduate degree preferred.

  • Project management certification preferred.
