Summary: This position provides clinical pharmacy strategy and support for the Medicare Group Retiree Solutions (GRS) and Medicare Part D business.
Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:
Provide overall clinical strategy and support for the GRS business segment.
Support sales and account management, including request for proposals (RFPs).
Act as a liaison between IngenioRx and GRS product teams.
Support Medicare formulary strategy for GRS and all Medicare formularies.
Translate clinical strategy into defined programs and projects.
Prioritize projects and refine timelines to ensure successful implementation of clinical strategy.
Research clinical pharmacy trends and activities in the Medicare Part D market to define clinical strategy to help build a competitive advantage in the market.
Analyze regulatory changes including health care reform across Medicare products and develop clinical strategies to anticipate and maintain competitive advantage.
Collaborate with GRS product teams to develop communication strategies.
Transform our current clinical environment into industry leading best practices within CMS’ rules and regulations.
Build relationships to provide innovative clinical solutions to complex business challenges.
Serve as the clinical subject matter expert in GRS projects and initiatives (and others as needed).
Evaluate all aspects of the GRS product portfolio as it compares with the competitive landscape.
Maintain awareness of industry trends and respond accordingly.
Develop communication documents and training criteria related to clinical programs.
Track, report, and present on the success of clinical programs.
Requires a registered pharmacist; minimum 2 years of managed care pharmacy experience including knowledge of current health care and managed care pharmacy practices; or any combination of education and Medicare experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
Current state unrestricted license to practice pharmacy as a RPH required.
Excellent clinical skills, analytical ability, strategic planning, organizational, and leadership skills required.
Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint required.
Strong verbal and written communication skills required.
