The Business Analyst III is responsible for functional support for the Online Store platform and supporting business applications. This role will partner with peers, business stakeholders, and IT to maintain and optimize the Medicare shopper website, electronic application platforms, and web support tools for consumers and sales producers/agents. Ideal candidate will possess a firm understanding of the Medicare and related membership acquisition processes. Must be able to translate moderately complex and varied business needs into application software requirements. Must be able to effectively consider the business implications of technology solutions to current and future business environments. Should possess project experience with an understanding of all phases of system design and project delivery. Responsible for identifying actionable web application usability improvement opportunities and issue resolution. Responsible for supporting project delivery of Medicare Sales tools and platforms. This role will support new project execution for various initiatives to support Medicare membership growth. Ideal candidate will possess a firm understanding of project support including testing and implementation support. Working knowledge of Agile methodology (including related tools & processes) is strongly preferred. Candidate should be familiar with current Medicare Sales & Marketing tools and processes. Primary duties may include, but are not limited to :

  • Determine specific business application software requirements and analyze and design solutions to address complex and varied business needs related to Medicare shopper experience & sales electronic enrollment application process.

  • Facilitate, coordinate, and provide SME support for internal business partners; including oversight of data integration / exchange with multiple downstream platforms.

  • Conduct detailed analysis of website analytics data.

  • Provide end-user support & training for sales teams.

  • Provide support for vendor relationships.

  • Development & continuous improvement of business processes relevant to Sales & Marketing business application platforms.

  • Project support through all phases of the project life cycle (including but not limited to requirements, testing, & implementation).

  • May be assigned as business lead to complex projects.

  • Consult with business partners & IT concerning application, platform maintenance, & implementation of new technology; along with issue triage & resolution

Qualifications

Business Analyst III

  • Requires a BS/BA degree, 5-7 (BA III) of business analysis experience, which should include analysis, project management, working knowledge of consumer-centric web applications and business portals; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.

Additional highly preferred skills

  • Experience/working knowledge of Medicare and sales process is preferred.

  • Project management and/or project support knowledge/skills required.

  • Ability to identify, track/document, research and resolve business issues is required .

  • Experience/working knowledge of the Anthem Medicare Online Store preferred.

  • Experience presenting complex information to end-users & management teams is required .

  • Experience w/ Agile methodology is strongly preferred.

  • Proficiency in Power Point is required, Visio preferred.

  • Experience in acquisition processes (sales & marketing) in any industry is required .

  • Ability to travel 10% (based on business need and location worked) may be required.

  • Contribution and Management of Oracle Webcenter Sites preferred

  • Knowledge of User Experience Design (UX) preferred
