The Benefits Analyst III is responsible for serving as the liaison between the business and IT in translating complex
business needs into application software. This includes supporting GBA internal Quality auditing processes.
Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:
Analyzes complex end user needs to determine optimal means of meeting those needs.
Determines specific business application software requirements to address complex business needs.
Develops project plans and identifies and coordinates resources, involving those outside the unit.
Works with programming staff to ensure requirements will be incorporated into system design and testing.
Experience maintaining business and system requirements of multi-functional complex system
Query development and data analysis skills strongly desired (using any database technology)
The ability to initiate or assist with testing of changes as it relates to projects assigned.
Provides oversight and resolves complex issues, resolving problems, and providing timely follow-up on identified issues.
Ensure policies and edits do not conflict with Federal and state mandates.
Conducts research of claims systems and system edits to identify adjudication issues and to audit claims adjudication for
Ability to participate on project teams and add significant and measurable technical input to the projects
May provide direction and guidance to team members and serves as an expert for the team.
Performs other duties as assigned
5-7 years related experience
or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background
Experience in the following is preferred: Trizetto Facets, Access Database, Sybase Tables and Excel
Knowledge in the following is a plus: Claims Processing, Product & Benefits Setup
Strong analytical skills, high attention to detail, and proven ability to be an innovative problem solver.
Organize and present ideas in a convincing and compelling manner.
Persuade and influence others with effective verbal and written communication.
Strong communication skills both written and verbal to represent the department in various meetings with various levels of management
