Responsible for serving as the key point of accountability for all InterPlan and BCBSA governance and policy matters and for negotiating and persuading other Blue plans regarding policy positions. Primary duties may include, but are not limited to: Establishes and maintains strong relationships with other Blue plans to support the company's position. Creates strategic positioning and alliance with like-minded Blue plans to form coalitions in pursuing policy positions. Determines impact analysis and communicates BlueCard policy development and administration, regulatory and impact analysis, governance processes, training and enterprise communications. Directs responsibility for ongoing Blue policy development, interpretation, enforcement and application analyses. Represents the company on key Blue Cross/Blue Shield Association and Consortium Health Plan committees and oversees committee representation. Performs analysis and briefs executive leaders. Develops strategic direction for InterPlan organization. Provides financial oversight of home and host pricing to meet budget and forecast goals. Participates in key BCBSA and Consortium Health Plan committees representing and protecting the companys perspective in both operations and the national market place and or ensures appropriate company representation is aligned. Oversees BCBSA and CHP committee representation enterprise wide. Hires, trains, coaches, counsels and evaluates performance of direct reports. Requires a BA/BS in a related field; 10 years of industry experience including prior leadership experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background. In-depth subject matter expertise on National and BCBSA business and policies preferred.
