Bring your hands-on experience as an Agile Coach Senior supporting our Mobile and GBD Member Portal areas in Norfolk, VA for this position- PS4499.

This role acts as a trainer, consultant and advisor. Works with business partners to identify and implement complex technical systems and/or products.

  • Manages medium to large systemsand/or products.

  • Acts as change agent anddemonstrates to the teams how Agile and SAFe processes and framework applies to their day to day activities.

  • Guides and mentors multiple teams inthe consistent practice of Agile concepts, including roles, ceremonies,processes, compliance, and tool usage within Anthem’s Agile delivery context.

  • Improves application of Agileprinciples.

  • Improves team understanding of Agilepractice. Promote metrics-led, continuous improvement of the Agile deliveryprocesses and propose adaptations of the methodology to address novelsituations.

  • Assists with improving operationalmetrics in efficiency and quality.

  • Assists with refining the Agiledelivery process to reduce areas of uncertainty that become impediments for theteam.

  • Ensures that team feedback is disseminated and communicated to IT so that potential changes can beimplemented enterprise-wide.

  • Participates in both the internaland external Agile community to stay abreast of challenges, leadingpractices, and emerging trends.

  • Continues to improve knowledge ofAgile activities at Anthem as well as in industry.

  • Requires BS/BA in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline with IT focus degree; minimum of 5 years' experience implementing Agile methodologies; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.

  • Requires SAFe Agilist (SA) / SAFe Program Consultant (SPC4) or equivalent.

  • Requires experience within small to medium sized Agile implementations (e.g. 5-7 team of teams or Agile Release Trains).

  • 5 years’ experience in broad-based information systems

  • Full life-cycle application development and/or building enterprise applications and/or data warehouse planning and development or an equivalent combination of education and experience required.

  • Experience in creating an effective team environment, building strong relationships, negotiation, solving problems and issues, resolving conflicts.

  • Manage resources in a matrix environment

  • Communicate effectively at all levels of an organization required.

  • Working knowledge of Atlassian DevOps Tools is required.

  • 3 years leading and directing teams is required.

  • HealthCare Insurance industry experience is a plus.
