Title: Business Analyst II for Provider Networks

Preferred locations: New York, New Jersey, Connecticut (Willing to consider other locations)

Status: Full-time, Bonus Potential

The Business Analyst II translates basic business needs into application software requirements.

Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:

  • Analyzes business needs to determine optimal means of meeting those needs.

  • Determines specific business application software requirements to address specific business needs. Works with programming staff to ensure requirements will be incorporated into system design and testing.

  • Acts as liaison with users of the software to address questions/issues.

  • Assist with required submissions, research and identification of providers for network adequacy

  • Analyze and lead reporting relativity, trend and overall targets

  • Support and identify Cost of Care opportunities

  • Assist in contract review/analysis and coordinate valuation with Health Economics

Qualifications

  • BS/BA degree

  • 3-5 years related business analysis experience

  • Any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.

  • Requires strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills, problem-solving skills, facilitation skills, and analytical skills.

    Preferred Experience

  • Healthcare Data Analytics experience preferred

  • Medicaid (ideally for New York State) reimbursement experience preferred

  • Experience with Microsoft office, Excel, Access strongly preferred
