Business Analyst II

Summary: Responsible for serving as the liaison between the business and clinical needs to interpret requirements.

Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:

  • Analyzes complex clinical requirements to operationalize the business needs

  • Develops project plans and identifies and coordinates resources, involving those outside the unit

  • Works with pharmacy staff to ensure requirements will be incorporated into appropriate coding and testing.

  • Acts as a resource to team to address questions/issues

  • May provide direction and guidance to team members and serves as an expert for the team

  • Ability to analyze data or testing output to ensure claims will adjudicate as expected following clinical coding changes


  • BS/BA degree

  • 3-5 years of pharmacy or managed care experience that includes knowledge of systems capabilities and business operations with related business analysis experience

  • Any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.

  • Requires strong oral, written and interpersonal communication skills, problem-solving skills, facilitation skills, and analytical skills.
