Payment Innovation Operations Manager

Responsible for supporting Payment Innovation value based program operations, including contract development and maintenance, process development and management, market support, communications, training, requirement development and user testing.

Supports one or more operational components for one or multiple value-based programs.

Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:

  • Provides support for business fundamental management of existing programs, enhancements to existing programs, and new program rollout.

  • Performs operational vetting end to end to identify impacts for new programs as well as existing program changes.

  • Supports market contracting and resolves issues.

  • Develops and manages internal and external communications and associated legal and regulatory approvals.

  • Develops and manages contract material and schedule for value-based program.

  • Writes business requirements.

  • Works with other business partners to guide and support solution development, pilot and solution launch activities.

  • Develops and maintains process documentation.

  • Manage small and large-scale program implementation efforts.

  • Review business processes and determine gaps and opportunities for streamlining operations.

  • Facilitate the value based governance process to support cross-departmental initiatives.

  • Ability to review data, make recommendations thru problem skills, and execute on a project plan for resolution.

  • Develop presentations for both internal and external customer’s consumption and executive leadership.

  • May assist in the planning of initiatives to address areas for improvement.

  • Support the creation of cross-functional training materials to assist in associate development.



  • Requires BA/BS in business or related field; and 3 years health insurance industry experience; and 3 years program/project management experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.

  • MBA preferred.

  • PMP certification preferred.

  • Hours are flexible, Mon-Friday.

  • Position is work from home; must live within commutable distance to Anthem office.

    Annual Salary Range*: $79,362 - $99,202

    Actual compensation may vary from posting based on geographic location, work experience, education and/or skill level.
