Location: This position will allow you to Work@Home but you must reside in the state of Tennessee.

The Training Specialist is responsible for the development and implementation of training/education efforts related to the TN LTSS ECF CHOICES program. This position is also responsible for integrating Person Centered Training, Medicaid and Medicare benefits and other external services and supports into training. The Training Specialist with facilitate a variety of performance-based learning events that may include, but are not limited to LTSS teams, ECF CHOICES Support Coordinators, HCM Teams, Community Events and leadership. The Training Specialist will also be responsible for the development of educational materials, job aides, and other documentation to assist in the implementation and updates of program requirements. Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:

  • Develops and facilitates learning events for existing ECF CHOICES Support Coordination team and new hires.

  • Delivers learning events using varied media in virtual and face to face environments.

  • Employs rapid course development methodologies to quickly meet the ever changing processes.

  • Exercises classroom management including learner performance and escalates issues to Learning & Development and ECF CHOICES leadership when necessary.

  • Measures, tracks and evaluates Support Coordination competency and credentials.

  • Delivers Bi Weekly training to Support Coordination Team.

  • Participates in Regional Meetings and State Wide Meetings with Support Coordination Team.

  • Collaborates with the LTSS CHOICES team to streamline processes when appropriate.

  • Works across departments to develop education and job-related materials, and to obtain necessary approvals.

  • Acts as a subject matter expert for ECF CHOICES processes.

  • Keeps technical skills updated.

Requires:

  • BA/BS in related field; 3-5 years training experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.

  • Four years of clinical and/or Case Management experience and certification or license in related field required.

  • Experience supporting individuals with IDD preferred.

  • Knowledge of ECF Choices Program preferred.

  • Ability to travel statewide up to 25% of the time required. Travel will be mostly day travel with occasional overnight travel.
