Sales Effectiveness Director
Work location: Any Anthem State

We are looking for a highly collaborative and motivated leader to create and execute a sales enablement strategies and initiative that will deliver improved sales results across Anthem's medical business.
The Sales Force Effectiveness Director, which will report to the VP of Sales Effectiveness, will work closely with cross-functional leadership and local market sales leadership to identify current and emerging market needs/issues and best position Anthem's sales organization to succeed in a dynamic marketplace.
The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding and experience in health insurance markets, products or distribution while being able to leverage market analysis to make informed strategic decisions. Preferred local market sales or sales process experience in large or small group segments.
Essential responsibilities include:
Lead and drive sales reward and recognition programs including the sales incentive plan design and top sales performer program
Collaboration and partnership with marketing on sales messaging and collateral to produce effective materials for usage by sales with strong value prop articulation.
Collaboration cross-functionally to influence sales training development, sales competencies, sales enablement capabilities and tools, and overall sales process improvements
Review of RFP process and opportunities for higher-priority accounts, working with account reps to develop and drive best practices across markets.
Identification and execution of new and innovative key initiatives.
Development of close partnerships with internal and external stakeholders such as other business units and companies, segment and market leadership, sales and finance to ensure objective and priorities are aligned to push the business forward.
Requires a BA/BS; 7 years of business development experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
Experience in the employee benefits industry strongly preferred.
Deep knowledge of health insurance market dynamics and distribution channels.
Demonstrated ability as a strategic thinker with ability to influence others and utilize resources to drive change.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Proven understanding and use of analytics and metrics to inform strategic decisions.
