The NGS Developer Intern will participate as a DCCM team member using the Agile methodology framework lifecycle as a member of the scrum or scrumban development team supporting the ICM Case Management system and Data Cap claims and Data Cap Gateway Systems. The intern will develop solutions and perform maintenance support activities utilizing Java, Javascript and .net technologies to support the team in meeting business deliverables and objectives.

The intern will be responsible for learning and participating in all phases of the development and maintenance life cycle utilizing various customer technology platforms.

Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:

  • Develops relationships with the business to betterunderstand business requirements.

  • Develops knowledge in change request process and developsexhibits and other materials, under supervision.

  • Assists in documenting limited business and technicalrequirements and coding of system components.

  • Assists in developing unit test plans and is given specifictasks to support implementation plan.

  • Develops the ability to provide support and monitor thesystem. Participates in peer code reviews.

  • Prepares the solution for implementation.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Currently enrolled in a graduate level program of study atan accredited college or university

  • Previous Java, Java script and .net programming experience strongly preferred

  • Strong written and oral communication skills

  • Proficient in MS Office applications like MS-Word and Excel;familiar with SharePoint is a plus

  • Ability to commute to our office in the northeast corner(Castleton area) of Indianapolis
