Product Development Director
Location: Prefer Virginia Beach, VA, but will consider candidates in any location.
Responsible for managing the sections and content for proposals. This position focuses on strategy and compliance with the state’s RFP related to vendor management/supplier diversity requirements, allowing us to not only remain competitive but also win bids.
Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:
Engages the Capture process, leading workgroups, pushing forward initiatives and investments, transferring knowledge, and preparing information for deep dives.
Formulates and coordinates the data collection and documentation for strong content to be used by proposal writers.
Engages with proposal leadership and proposal writers to develop strong proposal content that is complete, compliant, and compelling.
Participates in project management status reports, executive reviews, oral prep, and all other proposal-related efforts as necessary.
Engage in proposal section recovery, working across the organization to collect the required information and rewrite sections, with the help of other writers, to ensure a high scoring section is submitted.
Performs audits to monitor efficiency and compliance with assigned streams of work.
Requires a BA/BS degree; 6 years of experience generating proposals; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background. MA/MS preferred.
Experience managing proposals and proposal sections is required.
Leadership experience required.
Experience with government-based proposals is highly preferred.

Annual Salary Range*: $79,884 - 99,855
Actual compensation may vary from posting based on geographic location, work experience, education and/or skill level.
