Location: Remote - this position is approved to work from home.

Responsible for serving as an expert in data analysis, reporting and formulating recommendations and providing guidance to other data analysts.

Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:

  • Leads requirements workgroups for UM business performance reports (e.g. utilization, medical management data) and provides notations of performance deviations and anomalies.

  • Leads project meetings to identify, document and prioritize scope changes; prepares and participates in quality review checkpoints; maintains and updates all project documents

  • May require taking business issue and devising best way to develop appropriate diagnostic and/or tracking data that will translate business requirements into usable decision support tools.

  • Analyzes data and summarizes performance and makes recommendations based upon data analysis.

  • Provides analytic consultation to other business areas, leadership and other internal customers.

  • May create and publish periodic reports, as well as any necessary ad hoc reports.

  • Responsible for developing and executing more complex data mining analyses.

Qualifications

  • Requires a BS/BA degree; 5-6 years related experience or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.

  • Strong analytical, oral & written communication, organizational, presentation, and problem solving skills required.

  • SQL, Advanced Excel and/or Tableau experience preferred.

  • Must be comfortable presenting findings to executive leaders and integrating feedback based on business needs.

  • Medical Management Ops experience, including authorization and appeals data and UM business process preferred.
