Anthem, Inc. Marketing Communications Writer I in Chicago, Illinois


SHIFT: Day Job

SCHEDULE: Full-time

Responsible for creative writing for a wide range of materials including everything from social campaigns to member materials.

Primary duties may include but are not limited to:

  • Concepting and developing creative that provides a consistent message about our company and products.

  • Concepts, writes, edits and reviews content for traditionally printed programs (marketing collateral, trade publication advertising, direct mail, etc.) and digital programs (social, online advertising, micro sites, text campaigns, etc.).

  • Ensures all materials meet internal and external business and legal standards and follows appropriate corporate standards, guidelines and approval processes.

  • Collaborates with designers, art directors, project managers and more.

  • Assists with the distribution process.

  • Also assists with process improvements to support operational excellence, and supports business initiatives (plain language, standardization, going paperless, etc).

  • BA/BS degree

  • 1 year of related experience

  • Or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in advertising and/or health care or managed care preferred
