The IT Quality Control Analyst Sr. position is a technical hands-on test automation lead within the Quality Assurance (QA) organization. Expert knowledge of multiple automation tools, has a strong passion for driving efficiencies in the software development process, using automation. The candidate will provide guidance on best practices, tools, automation frameworks, test script design, execution, supporting metrics and defining current and future return on investment (ROI) opportunities. Communication at executive levels is critical as regular senior management will occur. Must be innovative, willing to introduce new ideas or opportunities regularly.
Provide technical leadership and guidance around testing, automation, frameworks, tooling, best practices and solutions
Partner with delivery teams, Development, UAT, Release Management, to align on approaches to driving higher quality through testing activities
Provide leadership with details on testing/automation solutions and approaches, along with ROI and costing across projects and programs
Partner with UAT teams to help eliminate redundancies or overlap of testing activities, while driving automation to reduce overall delivery times
Participate in requirement reviews, QA stand-up and scrum meetings to seek opportunities for automation initiatives, process improvement and driving efficiencies
Provide guidance and consultation on automated testing and strategies through complex applications
Assess current state of automation and testing implementations, do a gap analysis and provide strategic direction across multiple teams for large testing organization
Conduct proof-of-concepts, provide tooling solutions for any automation limitations
Collaborate with architecture groups, delivery partners to build solutions on testing, automation to achieve CI/CD
Ideal candidate will have min 3 years experience in hands-on test automation development
Experienced in implementing best practices and frameworks best suited for multiple, complex applications
Expertise with Automation tools, preferably Selenium, SOAPUI, HP and IBM suites as well
Expertise with Jira, with a focus on building traceability, artifact management and key reports and metrics
Experience in architecting, implementing solutions/frameworks for front end and APIs
Hands on experience with implementing Continuous Integration/Continuous Testing and build automation systems such as Jenkins, Cucumber, etc.
Knowledge of Relational Database Management (e.g. Oracle, SQL, MySQL)
Awareness to TDD/BDD approaches and relevant tools such as cucumber
Excellent communication and presentation skills at Senior Leadership levels
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Must be innovative and creative, willing to bring new ideas to the delivery organization
