Responsible for manual and automated testing of enterprise applications to ensure product quality and usability. Develop test plans and test cases, traceability metrics and leverage automated testing frameworks to automate testing to improve software quality and increase speed of delivery. Work closely with the Product and Development teams to understand scope, functionality and system design to develop comprehensive test coverage and maintain testing metrics and report status.

Internal Job Title: IT Quality Control Sr Advisor

Location: Atlanta, GA

Primary duties :

  • Lead the QA team to perform Functional, System Integration, Performance and Regression testing and supervise all testing activities

  • Work closely the product and development team to understand the product roadmap, features, user stories and acceptance criteria to develop test plans and test cases and map requirements to test cases to ensure adequate test coverage

  • Analyze requirements and system design and collaborate with cross-functional teams to influence the design and development for testability

  • Work with automation developers to develop, maintain and execute automated system and regression test suites

  • Work with DevOps and development teams to improve CI/CD and speed of delivery

  • Work closely with the Business to support UAT

  • Maintain test environments and coordinate test environment usage with other teams as necessary

  • Create, maintain and report testing metrics with a passion to constantly improve product quality and usability

Required Skills :

  • Solid understanding of SDLC processes, testing strategies and processes

  • Hands on testing experience with Big Data and ETL solutions (Java, Linux, Hadoop, Hive, HDFS, Impala, , Tera Data, Shell Scripting and SQL)

  • Experience with development processes like TTD (Test driven development) and BDD (Behavior-DrivenDevelopment) is desired

  • Prior health insurance industry experience is desired

  • Experience working in an Agile environment

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Requires Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Systems or Information Technology; 7 years of testing and product quality experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage testing efforts at across multiple systems. Quality Certification, such as CSTE, CSQA, CMST, CSQE preferred.

  • 6 + years of experience testing in Java, Big Data and ETL technologies.

  • 2 + years of hands on experience with automated testing.
