Manager, University Recruiting and Relations
Preferred Location: Indianapolis, IN, Mason, OH, or Atlanta, GA

The Manager, University Recruiting & Relations is responsible for overseeing the execution of a functional talent acquisition strategy, as outlined by the Director Talent Acquisition.
Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:
Leads a team of a program manager, university recruiters, and a coordinator to empower them to execute against functional goals by effectively managing the team’s performance and providing subject matter expert guidance.
Ensures alignment with people strategies through managing the University Recruiting and Relations team.
Ensure day-to-day tale activities are aligned with strategies developed by program managers.
Identify areas for improvement for day-to-day university recruiting processes.
Creates and monitors university recruiters’ performance KPIs / SLAs and adjusts strategy and processes accordingly for continuous improvement. Interface with Talent Acquisition Strategy Directors to gain insight into student hiring needs.
Partners with diversity team, human resource business partners, employee relations and legal to ensure policy, practice and process are regulatory and legal.
Hires, trains, coaches, counsels and evaluates performance of direct reports.
Develops and fosters partnerships with target universities.
Oversees the development of content for and execution of Anthem’s summer internship program.
Requires a BA degree in HR related and/or marketing or communications field; Six (6) or more years of talent acquisition/university recruiting experience, with at least five (5) years leading talent acquisition, university recruiting or HR teams; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
Experience creating university recruiting strategies such as process improvement strategic sourcing, diversity initiatives, etc. required.
In-depth knowledge of the university recruiting landscape in health insurance industry preferred.
Experience in developing strong relationships with university representatives and student programs.
Professional HR / TA Certification(s) preferred.
