This position must be located in one of our Anthem offices in Atlanta, GA, Indianapolis, IN, Colorado Springs, CO, Eagan, MN, or Columbus, OH. No remote work.
Responsible for serving as the liaison between the business and IT in translating complex business needs into application software.
Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:
Analyzes complex end user needs to determine optimal means of meeting those needs.
Determines specific business application software requirements to address complex business needs.
Prepares and/or maintains business requirements and/or functional specification(s), identifying current client configuration / state and future state / configuration changes required to address changing business needs.
Initiates and leads conversations regarding requirement questions with business and IT to complete gathering of business requirements and functional specifications.
Identifies cross project and cross functional dependencies.
Works with programming staff to ensure requirements will be incorporated into system design and testing.
May develop project plans and identifies and coordinates resources, involving those outside the unit.
Creates/updates current and end state workflows.
Tests/coordinates testing to ensure our user’s needs are met.
Acts as a resource to users of the software to address questions/issues.
Takes ownership and applies time management skills to adhere to project timeline and deliverable work schedule.
Participates in/leads Business Readiness preparation and documentation.
May provide direction and guidance to team members and serves as an expert for the team.
A strong candidate will be skillful at leading and hosting meetings and driving discussions. They will possess the ability to understand the big picture, while also being able to drill down to a detailed level of understanding.
- Requires a BS/BA degree, 3-5 years related business analysis experience, or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background."
- Requires a BS/BA degree, 5-7 years of business analysis experience that includes knowledge of systems capabilities and business operations; or any combination of education and experienced, which would provide an equivalent background.
Other skills needed:
Experienced in multiple IT delivery models, such as Waterfall and Agile.
Strong experience in JIRA, SharePoint, MS Office Applications.
Managed Health Insurance experience highly preferred.
