This position will provide pricing support for Individual and SG business, and will involve work on enterprise-wide pricing projects and models. The Actuarial Analyst II will complete projects and perform complex actuarial studies.
Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:
- Obtains, verifies, analyzes and models data to use in pricing development.
- Understands pricing and filing requirements under the Affordable Care Act.
- Follows Actuarial Standards of Practice and documents pricing assumptions consistent with internal best practices.
Preferred location - an Anthem office in any of the following state: CA
Requires a BS/BA degree; required to have passed at least three Society of Actuaries (SOA) or Casualty Actuarial Society (CAS) actuarial exams; at least 1 year related experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background. VBA, SAS and/or SQL programming experience is desirable. Pricing experience preferred, but not required. Understanding of ACA/Exchange Products also preferred, but not required.
